Bertus van Ellinkhuizen

Chiara Maria Bernadette, aka Kyara van Ellinkhuizen, was born on 1967. Bertus made this xilography in this occasion.

 

 

"When I was born, my father Bertus made this work. It is really precious because it's a xilography. It means that he carved in the wood on the contrary respect to the drawing. The white parts of the drawing are carved, the orange parts are carved around them. This is an incredible amazing art work because the incisions are smaller than the head of a pin or than an human hair. Few years after this work, my father won the golden medal at the II. Biennale in Florence with the puntasecca Panorama".
